If you haven’t been hiding under a rock for the last 10 years, you probably know who Kim Kardashian is. You may not know that she has been battling psoriasis, a skin conditions that causes red and flaky patches – often on her face. For someone who lives their entire life in the limelite, this is a huge issue. So what is Kim doing to help? She recently revealed that she’s drinking celery juice EVERY day, and making sleep a priority.

Speaking of diets with great health benefits, Chris Pratt just came off of a 21 day “Daniel Fast” which is drawn from the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament. In the story, Daniel decides to avoid foods that are rich and indulgent and instead has nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink.
The contemporary version of the Daniel Fast involves eating only food grown from seeds, and Chris mentions only fruits, veggies, and grains – no bread or animal products, no meat, sugar, or alcohol. While we normally don’t support fad diets, this is something we can get behind because it is essentially a vegan diet, while also eliminating processed foods (that often include added sugars, preservatives, and fats.)
Is the Daniel Fast healthy?
If you’re a generally healthy person without chronic conditions that require lots of dietary monitoring, a vegan based diet comes with plenty of health benefits, such as lowered risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and other chronic ailments.
