Get Fit: Legs

We all know how important it is to stay fit. We also know it’s important to consistently work on each muscle group. We like to incorporate different exercises into our weekly routines and today we want to focus on our legs. Did you know that your leg muscles are the largest muscles in your body? We use our leg muscles constantly all day long, from the second we get ourselves out of bed in the morning to when we get back in bed at night. Our legs have a ton of endurance and it’s important to strengthen them on a regular basis. For athletes in particular, leg workouts help in every sport! Plus, working out your legs also helps build stronger knees, hips, and ankles which reduces your risk of injuries. Here’s a great leg workout that we love to do at home and it can be done in 30 minutes or less!

  • Jump Rope – 1 minute
  • Squat Jumps – 1 set = 20 reps
  • Side lunge to curtsy lunge – 1 minute on each leg
  • Back leg lifts – 1 minute on each leg
  • Leg lifts lying on your side – 1 minute each leg
  • Wall sit with leg kicks  – 1 minute
  • Quick feet – 1 minute
  • Jumping jacks – 100
  • Burpees – 20 reps

*Repeat one more time
